All I ever wanted was to take my little girl on a summer vacation, but due to a modest disability income, that seemed impossible. However, my beloved godfather passed away and left me a small inheritance. This gift from him made my dream come true.
At the end of June, 2010, I was able to bring my daughter for a week in Niagara Falls. Needless to say, she was ecstatic, and had no concept of the thrills that awaited her. I was able to get a nice rate right near Clifton Hill, it was a junior suite with two queen size beds, an indoor pool, whirlpool, and a great view. The amount I had received was not extravagant, but with a little deal searching, I was able to take her places she could only have imagined.
First, of course, was a visit to the falls, never have I seen my daughter's eyes light up that way, I have a picture of us there that always makes my heart smile when I look at it. Then we spent most of the afternoon in the pool (she loves swimming). We went to Believe it or Not museum as well as their 4D Moving theatre, that was just awsome. Louis Tussaud's Waxworks made her day, she had pics of herself posed with some of her favorite stars, this I knew she'd never forget! We also went to The Nightmare Factory, this was something I enjoyed, but scared her pretty good. She later confessed to me that she had her eyes closed almost all the time, lol. For breakfast, there's was no beating The Flying Saucer restaurant, the prices were quite decent, food great, and the portions were huge. Soaring 175 ft above the Falls on The Skywheel gave us an incredible view which really shows you the beauty of the vegas style lights of Niagara. When I took her to the Fallsview 3 acre Waterpark, she looked like she was looking at heaven, that was just a wonderful time.
We went to many other attractions, mostly museums, but by far what made the trip, next to seeing the falls, was going to Greg Frewin Beyond Belief Magic. This Award winning Niagara Falls Illusionist and Magician was extraordinary, the look on my daughter's face, when he made a huge tiger appear in an cage that previously had a woman, was one I've never seen before!
There were many other things we did, that Niagara Falls offered to us which brought us pleasure, but I want to keep this short.
My daughter had turned 14 yeas old a few months prior to our trip, her mom lives in another province and can't afford much. Somehow, I'm sure, that my godfather, uncle Rolly, knows the great joy he brought to his great niece. He also gave a fullness in my heart, to be able to give my little girl memories she'll never forget. Thanks Uncle Rolly!
